Notes
- After a MacOS upgrade, this application was no longer compatible and could not be used. This application does not appear to be supported anymore.
- MockSMTP was free to download from the App Store.
- The article "Step-by-Step—Install MockSMTP to Test Email Delivery During Development on Mac" on Freelance Level Up by Jason Forrest was critical to getting it up and running.
- It acts as the recipient of all emails sent by the website regardless of the actual address.
- The interface is pretty straight forward. My only complaint would be that I've not found a way to read the emails delivered to the app as part of the automated testing.
- It does not appear to be widely used so documentation is scarce.
